The main Goal:

Uni Bonn's project aims at the conception and realisation of methods for fast visualisation of photorealistic scenes using image data, geometric data and thematic data. The hart of the project is the representation of 3D-objects in multiple ontologically defined scales.

Uni Bonn's project uses image and laser data, airborne als well as terrestrial, of a suburban area.

Individual aims:

Uni Bonn's project is performed by three institutes with individual goals:

  1. Institute for Photogrammetry ( www.ipb.uni-bonn.de )
  2. Learning probabilistic image models for the automated detection of buildings or parts of buildings in aerial images of diverse scales. Please visit results for first results.

  3. Institute for Geoinformation ( www.ikg.uni-bonn.de )
  4. Consistent 3D-modelling of image, vector and hierarchically structured thematic data by the use of prototypes. For further information please visit the project page.

  5. Institute for Computer Science, Department of Computer Graphics ( cg.cs.uni-bonn.de )

  6. Realisation of floating transitions of 3D-structurs for real-time visualisation by usage of prototypes and semantically driven visualisation. For further information please contact Roland Wahl.
