Photogrammetry / Computer Vision
Motivation and Goals
This research is motivated and structured around the problem of acquiring 3D-information from multiple images. Applications aimed at are building extraction for city modeling mainly from aerial images and reconstruction for industrial inspection using various imaging techniques.
We try to cover all levels of image analysis (low, mid and high) and do basic and applied research.
Our developments are directed towards making Computer Vision and Photogrammetric procedures available to non-specialists, motivating research on procedures with few and well understood control parameters and clear performance characteristics using statistical analysis tools.
